2021 We would like to introduce our brand new Foster Grads Program. This program offers support helping foster youth graduate from high school and transition to higher learning. The Foster Grads Program provides support of tutoring, graduation fees including cap/gown, GED fees, WCC or BTC registration fees, and more.
2017 This year our Shoe Give Program distributed 628 pairs of shoes and socks to local kids in need. We can not do this without our wonderful supporters that include Soles4Souls, Bellingham Bay Rotary, Whatcom Community Foundation, and SuperFeet Worldwide.
This was our 2nd year formally distributing Back to School Backpacks. A total of 562 backpacks were distributed to children heading back to school. Thank you Women Sharing Hope for your support of our Backpack program.
Winter Warm Up is in process and just half way through our eight week program we have served over 500 children, who now have a warm winter coat, hat, gloves, scarf and warm blanket.
2016 Our 2016 Shoe Give distribution provided over 540 children with a brand new pair of shoes and socks! A huge thank you to the Soles4Souls, Bellingham Bay Rotary, Whatcom Community Foundation, SuperFeet Worldwide and Women Sharing Hope for making this distribution possible.
This was our first year we formally distributed our Back to School Backpack Program. In our first year, 410 local students received a brand new backpack.
Our Winter Warm Up Program served 647 children, distributing 3,126 items of coats, hats, gloves, scarves and blankets within our local area.
2015 Blue Skies served 537 kids this past Nov/Dec 2015, through our Winter Warm Up program! We distributed 2,843 coats, hats, gloves, scarves and blankets!! We thank YOU, our community, for your support and donations that help us help local homeless, low-income and foster children. Blue Skies distributed five driver's education scholarships in May 2015 - deadline for Fall round of scholarships is August 13th. Call for a scholarship application kit 360.756.6710.
Blue Skies distributed 537 pairs of brand new shoes and socks to homeless, low-income and foster children throughout Whatcom County in April & May 2015!! We are excited to have kids going to school and playing through the summer with shoes on their feet that fit!
Blue Skies will be holding its 15th Annual Dinner & Charity Auction - Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at the Best Western Plus Lakeway Inn. Tickets are $75, call now to RSVP or sponsor this event.
