Caprice Teske - Executive Director Caprice has over 20 years non-profit experience, most recently working with the WA State Farmers Market Association supporting food access programming for farmers markets across the state. Prior to that she was Executive Director of the iconic Bellingham Farmers Market for over ten years. There she established one of the first farmers market run SNAP programs (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs). in the state and developed fruit and vegetable incentive programs to support equal access to quality, fresh produce grown locally.
She met her husband working for the U.S. Antarctic Program at a remote science station, which provided her several opportunities to travel the world in between her deployments to "the Ice.." After their adventures abroad, they settled in Bellingham in 2003, where their son was born.
Caprice enjoys cooking, entertaining, hiking with friends, and the occasional snow shoe at Mt. Baker. Most recently, she has found a creative spark in flower arranging and is learning how to grow her own to feed her passion.
