We offer NEW coats, shoes, backpacks and other essentials to children who qualify. If you meet the following requirements, please click the link below to make a one-on-one appointment.  

PLEASE NOTE: Our new offices are located on the 2nd floor with escalator or elevator access. If you are unable to use our stairs, please call 360-756-6710 to make other arrangements for accommodation.

To be eligible for Blue Skies for Children programs: ​

• Child must be homeless, low-income or in foster care, -and- 
• ​Child must live in Whatcom or Skagit County -and- 
• Child must be age 6 to 18th birthday (or graduation from high school, whichever comes last) ​
• ​Family income verification is required.  If a child is eligible for free or reduced lunch under WA State OSPI Guidelines, the child will be eligible for our programs.  
• Identification is required for the parent/guardian and child.   ​

​Below are the forms of verification we accept. We will not keep these documents or need copies after we have confirmed verification.

• Apple Health or Molina Health Care cards for guardian and children
• Employment Income (3 Pay Stubs) 
• Unemployment Income
• SSI / SSD Letter
• TANF Assistance Letter
• Food Stamps Letter
• Free/Reduced School Lunch Letter
• Foster Placement Paperwork or Proof of Guardianship
