Project "Thank-You Parents" Holiday Free Market!

​When: Saturday, December 13, from 10am-2pm
Where: Lydia Place, Rocket Building, 13 Prospect Street, Suite 202.
What: A FREE shopping event for kiddos to find gifts for their grown-ups. Kids MUST be accompanied by their adult! Adults can curate choices, then enjoy a cup of coffee while our team helps the kiddos to make choices and wrap gifts for their parents and big people.Open to all members of our community who need a little help this holiday season!

Fairhaven Winterfest-Lighted Boat Parade and More

Starts: December 06, 2025
Occurs: Saturdays in December- 6th, 13th and 20th
Location: Downtown Fairhaven and the Taylor Avenue Dock

Downtown Lynden Elf on the Shelf Hunt and Christmas Parade on December 6th

Pick up a FREE Clue Card on Saturday December 6th at ELF HQ - Corner of Front St. & 5th. Find all the elves hiding in businesses in Downtown Lynden & be entered to win one of three baskets filled with downtown business gift cards and treats worth $300. 
Follow the clues on the card to find the hidden elves! The hunt is from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Winners will be drawn at 6:00 pm. Elf Hunt HQ closes at 4:15. Pick up your clue cards before then.

USPS Operation Santa

To any parent struggling to afford Christmas this year, all you have to do is write a letter!

If your child writes a letter to Santa and mails it to the address below USPS will post it to the Operation Santa website. Someone will then anonymously adopt your letter and buy the gift(s) requested.. then it will be shipped to your house from “Santa”. Make sure to include their name, age, favorite color, clothes size, shoe size and anything they might want or need!

​Make sure you put your exact mailing address on the envelope when you mail it so that way the person who adopts your letter to play Santa can ship the gifts!

Books Make Great Gifts!

Blue Skies for Children provides access to FREE, new books for children provided by Village Books. Current Blue Skies families may stop by during open hours to select new books for their children. New books will be added to our inventory the new year!

Books are available on a first come, first serve basis and are limited to the titles in stock.
