November 24, 1941 — June 25, 2025​With heavy hearts, we honor the life and legacy of Gladys Hyatt, a long-time board member, champion, and dear friend of Blue Skies for Children. Gladys was with us for over 20 years, helping shape our mission and grow our impact. Over the years, she acted as bookkeeper, Treasurer, event coordinator, and even dressed up as an Oompa Loompa for one of our galas. Her steadfast support, tenacity, and unwavering belief in our mission laid the foundation for the programs we offer today.In 2023, we established the Hyatt Honors in honor of Gladys' enduring commitment to Blue Skies for Children. It recognizes a local individual or partner who exemplifies her spirit of service and has made an exceptional contribution to advancing our mission in the previous year. She touched countless lives through her service and generosity, and her legacy will live on in the hope and opportunity we continue to provide. Gladys will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
