Back2School Boost

Register Monday, August 24th - Friday, September 11th (or until we're full).


We are excited to host our annual Back2School Boost, a one-stop shopping opportunity for families in need of SHOES and COATS for the new school year. This will be the only distribution event we host in 2026.


All families must pre-register for our Back2School Boost starting on Monday, August 24th. We will not be able to accommodate walk-in appointments. All participants must meet our eligibility guidelines and be able to verify income eligibility and identification for all children and guardians prior to the event.


To be eligible for Blue Skies for Children programs: ​

Child must be homeless, low-income or in foster care, -and-

Child must live in Whatcom or Skagit County -and-

Child must be age 6 to 18th birthday

Event Information

  • Back2School Boost will take place at: Christ the King Church, 4173 Meridian St, Bellingham


  • Pre-registration is required. We will not be able to accommodate walk-in appointments.



  • Children must be present at Back2School Boost to try on shoes and coats.

  • Saturday, 09/19 | 9:00A - 12:00P

Verification Forms


  • Employment Income (3 Pay Stubs) 
  • Unemployment Income
  • SSI / SSD Letter
  • TANF Assistance Letter
  • Food Stamps Letter
  • Free/Reduced Lunch Letter
  • ​Foster Placement Paperwork or Proof of Guardianship


Paperwork should have your or your child's name on it, along with an 
issue date and proof of validity for the current calendar year.

Blue Skies for Children can provide one of each item (coats, shoes, gloves, hats, and socks) to each child once per school year while supplies last.
