Heidi Hawkins was first touched by Blue Skies’ through a small team of individuals that came together to form a new non-profit within our community with a heartfelt mission to help homeless, low-income and foster children build their self-esteem through a Little Wishes program, and more.
Heidi was a member of the founding committee for Blue Skies for Children, as well as, serving as the Vice President from 2002-2004. She served on the board for almost 10 years. In the Fall of 2009, she left the board to focus on getting her two oldest daughters off to college. In 2018, she re-joined the board to continue to be a voice for those children that need us most, homeless, foster and low-income children.
Heidi currently serves our community as a Marketing Specialist with Cascade Radio Group. Prior to that role, she worked for orphans internationally throughout the world through her work with Children’s House International, a non-profit international adoption agency located in Ferndale. Heidi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a minor in Asian American Cultural Studies from Western Washington.
She and her husband Kim Baydek have been blessed with three daughters Joi, Suzi and Mimi. They love this community and have lived in Bellingham for over 20 years.
