Whatcom Museum: Free First Fridays
Beginning January 2024, on each first Friday of the month, the Whatcom Museum will have free admission, extended hours until 9 p.m. and special, free programming! Each month, they’ll bring a different mix of artists, performers, and experts to lead workshops and activities for all ages.

Blaine Holiday Harbor Lights
From 11am-7pm on Saturday November 30th, enjoy free iced coffee, crafts, caroling, horse-drawn carriage and train rides, and the tree lighting, all for free! Click the heading for more details. Event located in downtown Blaine.
Santa's Coming to Boundary Bay
Stop by Boundary Bay Brewery on Sunday, December 1st to get your photos with Santa! He’ll be on the bistro deck, from 12 - 3 pm. The event is free and open to all ages! They will not have a camera, so guests are asked to bring their own devices to take their photos with.
Bellingham Yacht Club Lighted Boat Parade!
On the evening of December 7th, head down to Fairhaven's Boulevard Park to watch lighted boats parade through the bay! Stretching from the Cruise terminal to the end of the boulevard, festive boats can be seen from the shoreline. Bundle up warm and enjoy the Christmas magic with your family.
Holiday Port Party!
A classic Bellingham experience, the Port of Bellingham puts on a big family friendly weekend, complete with live performances, a gingerbread house display, visits and photos with Santa Claus, and dances. Held on Saturday December 7th, and Sunday December 8th from 11am-5pm at the Bellingham Cruise Terminal.
Fairhaven Winterfest 2024
The Fairhaven Association is putting on lots of activities to bring joy to your family this year! Admission is free and events are held on the Village Green.

Ferndale’s Holiday Tree Lighting
The Ferndale Downtown Association, with special help from their incredible fire department, invites you to kick off the holiday season with their Annual Tree Lighting! This year, they’re thrilled to unveil their brand-new, 30-foot lighted tree, along with festive updates to their light poles and holiday decorations around town. Just head to the Centennial Riverwalk Park Fountain in Ferndale on December 6th from 6-8pm.
Christmastime at Bellewood Farms
Every weekend between December 7th and December 22nd, Bellwood Farms is hosting an event where families can take free photos with Santa and enjoy carolers around the bonfire while taking in the beautiful views at Bellewood! Santa will be available from noon-4pm on December 7th, and then each Saturday and Sunday leading up to Christmas Day.
The Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade
"Welkom" in this holiday season with the Northwest Lighted Christmas Parade!
Starting at 6PM, spend time with loved ones as a lighted menagerie of cars, trucks, floats, wagons, farm equipment & more drive down Front Street! Starting at the Fairway Shopping Center at Front Street & 17th, heading east on Front St. to 3rd & Front in downtown.
Downtown Bellingham Tree Lighting
On December 7th from 5:30-7pm at the Depot Market, enjoy the magic of the holiday season and take part in the longtime community tradition of lighting Downtown’s tree! There will be free cocoa and cookies, activities and more! Take family pictures around the Christmas tree and enjoy what is sure to be a memorable evening!
