Diane received her degree in Law enforcement in California, working as one of the first women in Law Enforcement. She and her husband Dave and two children moved to Bellingham in 1985. She started working for the State of Washington as an investigator. She and her husband were foster parents providing a safe short term home care through Northwest Youth Services, and served close to 50 youth.
During Diane's career she worked as a bookkeeper and non-profit treasurer, educator, fundraiser, Police Sargent and investigator. She has spent a lifetime volunteering for non-profits. Diane has supported Blue Skies for Children for many years and has been so thankful for all who contribute to the organization.
Diane is now semi-retired and advocates for Blue Skies within the community. She continues to work for the Whatcom County Sheriff's Department in the Internal Affairs Unit, is working on a 26 year old Cold Case, and volunteers with the COPS program. She offers a lifetime of community service and skills to her Blue Skies for Children board position and wishes to focus her energy on our local children living in poverty, and the need to raise hope and self esteem,
