Board Member Responsibilities & Requirements

• Consistently attend board meetings, and provide dinner and wine for one monthly board meeting during the year.
• Attend organizational functions and special events.
• Participate in at least one committee per calendar year plus the auction.
• Understand the organization's mission, policiies, and programs; inform others about Blue Skies for Children and solicit and recommend nominees for the board, who can significantly contribute to the work of the board and the organization.
• Follow conflict of interest and confidentiality policies.
• Support the board in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities such as reviewing the organizatrion's annual financial statements, attending the annual Visioning meeting, etc.
• Make a monthly or annual monetary contribution to Blue Skies for Children.
• Solicit items and sponsors for organizational events and be responsible for a table of eight at the annual dinner/auction and attend.
